ABC Claims the Week's Top 2 Scripted Series in Adults 18-49

DVR Playback for the week of 5/02/11 (Week #33):

Based on Nielsen's final rankings for the week, ABC claimed the Top 2 scripted shows in Adults 18-49 with "Modern Family" and "Grey's Anatomy."

· Solidifying its rank as TV's #1 scripted show in Adults 18-49 based on Nielsen's final rankings for the week, ABC's "Modern Family" soared to a 6.1 rating in the playback finals.

· Emerging as TV's #2 scripted show for the week in Adults 18-49 behind only "Modern Family," ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" built from a 3.5 rating in the first-reported numbers to a 5.1 rating in the playback finals. Initially in the Live + Same Day statistics, "Grey's" tied as TV's #4 scripted show for the week in the key young adult sales demo and moved up to a definitive #2 in the Live + 7 Day statistics, jumping ahead of NBC's "The Office" (4.9), Fox's "Glee" (4.9) and CBS' "NCIS" (4.8).

· ABC had 6 shows gain more than 2.0 million viewers from their initially reported totals via time-shifted viewing, including the week's biggest overall gainer: "Modern Family" (+4.14 million), "Grey's Anatomy" (+3.14 million), "Castle" (+2.66 million), "Body of Proof" (+2.46 million), "Desperate Housewives" (+2.16 million) and "Private Practice" (+2.05 million).

· Among Adults 18-49, ABC saw 4 series add on a full rating point over their initially reported numbers: "Modern Family" (+2.2 rating - 3.9 to 6.1), "Grey's Anatomy" (+1.6 rating - 3.5 to 5.1), "Desperate Housewives" (+1.0 rating - 2.9 to 3.9) and "Private Practice" (+1.0 rating - 2.3 to 3.3).
