CBS LEADS TELEVISION'S COMEDY SURGE

CBS Has More Comedies in the Top 10 Among Viewers and Adults 18-49 Than Any Other Network

CBS's Monday Comedy Block is the Most Watched On Any Night Since 2003

Through three weeks of the new season, CBS has four of the top five and six of the top 10 comedies in viewers, and five of the top 10 in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen's most current ratings through Oct. 9, 2011.

Among viewers, CBS's four comedies in the top five are the most by any network since 2003. Among adults 18-49, CBS's five comedies in the top 10 are the most by any network after three weeks since 1999.

TWO AND A HALF MEN is the first comedy to rank number one among all programs after three weeks since 2001 in viewers and since 2003 in adults 18-49.

CBS's Monday comedy block (HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, 2 BROKE GIRLS, TWO AND A HALF MEN and MIKE & MOLLY) is television's highest rated two-hour comedy block in adults 18-49 and the most watched on any network after three weeks since 2003. (Since NBC's Must See Thursday).

Compared to the same period last year, CBS's Monday comedy block is up +46% in adults 18-49, +45% in adults 25-54 and +39% in viewers.
