DVR PLAYBACK VAULTS CBS FROM SECOND TO FIRST IN WEEK FIVE STANDINGS CBS Overtakes FOX in Viewers with Live Plus 7-Day Playback CBS Goes From 1 Million Viewers Behind to 400,000 Viewers Ahead of FOX CBS jumped from second to first in viewers while narrowing the gap in adults 18-49 from a full rating point to half a rating point, with Nielsen live plus 7-day playback for the week of Oct. 17-Oct.23. With today's release of live plus 7-day DVR playback for week five, CBS gained +1.85 million to 12.81 million viewers to surpass FOX, which added +490,000 to bring its weekly viewer total to 12.41m. Previously, with live plus same day ratings, CBS trailed FOX in viewers 10.96 million versus 11.92 million. Among adults 18-49, CBS added +0.7 rating points to average a 3.3 and +0.8 rating points in adults 25-54 to finish with 4.4. FOX posted a +0.2 rating point lift to 3.8 and +0.3 rating point lift among adults 25-54 to 4.6.
