TBS' Exclusive 2013 NLCS Coverage Averaging Five Million Total Viewers, Up 22%

NLCS Primetime Telecasts Up 26% Among Total Viewers

TBS' exclusive presentation of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) - featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals - continues to deliver double-digit audience growth over the 2011 NLCS - the last time the network aired the NLCS - between the Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers. Through four game telecasts, this year's coverage is averaging a 3.2 U.S. HH rating and five million total viewers, up 23% and 22% compared with a 2.6 U.S. HH rating and 4.1 million total viewers for the same number of games in 2011.

The network's three NLCS primetime telecasts this year have averaged 5.4 million total viewers, up 26% over an average of 4.3 million total viewers for the three comparable primetime games during the 2011 NLCS. The corresponding 3.5 U.S. HH rating is up 25% compared with a 2.8 U.S. HH rating in 2011.

Last night's NLCS Game 4 telecast averaged 5.8 million total viewers, up 2% compared with an average of 5.7 million total viewers for Game 4 of the 2011 NLCS. The telecast peaked with a 4.3 U.S. HH rating from 10:30-10:45 p.m. ET. Based on the metered markets, last night's coverage propelled TBS to win the night across all cable networks.

Locally the game earned a 31.1 HH rating in St. Louis and a 12.4 HH rating in Los Angeles. The local rating in L.A. ties Game 1 of the 2013 NLCS as the highest rating for an MLB telecast in the market since Game 7 of the 2011 World Series. It is the highest rating for a Dodgers game since Game 4 of the 2008 NLCS. Through four games, L.A. is averaging an 11.1 HH rating, up 23% from an 9.0 HH rating over the first four games of the 2009 NLCS, the last time the Dodgers appeared in the LCS.

TBS' exclusive coverage of the 2013 NLCS continues this afternoon, Wednesday, Oct. 16, with Game 5 of the best-of-seven series at 4 p.m. The network will preview the action with the MLB Postseason Pre-Game on TBS presented by Jeep at 3:30 p.m.
