ABC's "Nightline" is No. 1 for the Fourth Week in a Row

"Nightline" Has Ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in 5 of the Last 6 Weeks

ABC News' "Nightline" drew 1.737 million Total Viewers, 706,000 Adults 25-54 and 547,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of May 5, 2014, according to Nielsen Media Research. The ABC late night program led the week in Total Viewers making it the 4th week in a row that "Nightline" finished No. 1 in overall viewers. In fact, "Nightline" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in 5 of the last 6 weeks.

"Nightline" outperformed NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" by 204,000 viewers and CBS' "The Late Late Show" by 376,000 viewers. Further, more than doubling its week-to-week lead over NBC's "Late Night" (+165% - +77,000 on w/o 4/28/14), "Nightline" led the NBC program by its largest Total Viewer advantage ever during a week of original telecasts.

"Nightline" claimed the top 2 telecasts of the week in Total Viewers with its Monday (2.001 million on 5/5/14) and Friday (1.841 million on 5/9/14) airings. In fact, it was the 4th straight week that the ABC program held the week's No. 1 telecast, outdrawing every telecast of NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and CBS' "The Late Late Show" during the week.

Season to date, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" across the board: Total Viewers (+232,000), Adults 25-54 (+69,000) and Adults 18-49 (+34,000).

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Dan Harris, Dan Abrams, and Juju Chang. Almin Karamehmedovic is executive producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:00 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. Together with "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Nightline" is part of ABC's winning late night strategy of airing news and entertainment programming.
