Regarding this morning's Nielsens, note that the fast-national ratings that came in at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT are not time zone-adjusted and typically understate live NFL telecasts. Despite that, NBC is currently #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key demographic - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 -- in the fast-national ratings.
· In metered-market results, which accurately reflect time-zone adjustments, last night's Green Bay Packers-New Orleans Saints "Sunday Night Football" telecast averaged an 11.4 rating, 18 share from 8:30-11:15 p.m. ET in household results from the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research.
· The game, won by the Saints 44-23, topped by +11% last year's Week 8 "SNF" Packers-Vikings matchup in metered-market households (11.4/18 vs. 10.3/16)
· "Sunday Night Football's" +39% advantage in metered-market households versus the Royals-Giants World Series telecast (11.4/18 vs. 8.2/13) is the largest margin in five head-to-head "Sunday Night Football" telecasts versus the World Series.
· Top local ratings for the Packers-Saints game on NBC were: New Orleans, 50.2/65; Milwaukee, 45.0/61; Minneapolis, 17.4/26; Memphis, 15.9/21; Denver, 15.8/25; Las Vegas, 15.8/25; Richmond, 14.9/22; Dallas, 14.4/21; Albuquerque, 13.8/20; and Seattle, 13.7/23.
