Discovery Channel Delivers Third Consecutive Record-Breaking Quarter in Ratings and Viewership

DISCOVERY CHANNEL DELIVERS THIRD CONSECUTIVE RECORD-BREAKING QUARTER IN RATINGS AND VIEWERSHIP

Discovery Channel has Best 3Q Ever in Both Total Viewers and Persons 25-54 in 3Q15

NAKED AND AFRAID XL Remains 2015's #1 New Unscripted Cable Series in P/M/W 25-54

Discovery Channel had its highest rated and most watched third quarter ever in 3Q15 in Total Viewers P2+ delivery and Persons 25-54 rating in L+3. This marks the third consecutive quarter Discovery Channel has set viewership and ratings records; in 1Q15 Discovery delivered its best quarter ever in Total Viewers P2+ delivery and Persons 25-54 rating, while in 2Q15 the network had its most watched second quarter ever in Total Viewers P2+ as well as its highest rated second quarter among both Persons 25-54 and Men 25-54.

During 3Q15, Discovery Channel delivered cable rank increases across the board, including millennials, core viewers, women, kids, and families as the network climbed the demo rankers to #3 in Persons 25-54 (up 3 ranking positions vs. 3Q14), #2 in Men 25-54 (up three positions), #4 in Persons 18-49 (up four positions) and #2 in Men 18-49 (up four positions). Additionally, Discovery broke into the Top 10 for the quarter in Women 25-54 (#8 for the quarter, up 8 ranking positions vs. 3Q14), Persons 18-34 (#9, up 13 positions), Men 18-34 (#7, up four positions) and Total Viewers P2+ (#8, up three positions), full ranker below.

Among the Top 10 unscripted series in 3Q15, Discovery claimed the Top Four among Men 25-54, including STREET OUTLAWS (#1), DEADLIEST CATCH (#2), ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE (#3) and NAKED AND AFRIAD XL (#4). Discovery also claimed the Top Four unscripted series in 3Q15 in Men 18-49, with STREET OUTLAWS (#1), NAKED AND AFRAID XL (#2), DEADLIEST CATCH (#3), ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE (#4).

NAKED AND AFRAID XL remains 2015's #1 New Unscripted Cable Series in Persons, Men and Women 25-54.
