Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Surges with "Adele Live in New York City"

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/14/15):

NBC (13.020 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.1, #1) rose in the latest victory on Monday with a new "The Voice" (13.907 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.2, #1) and its special "Adele Live in New York City" (11.246 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2).

CBS (8.704 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then claimed the silver with its fall finales from "Supergirl" (7.395 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4), "Scorpion" (9.379 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (9.339 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5).

Next up was ABC (4.702 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with a new "The Great Christmas Light Fight" (5.167 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6), a second "The Great Christmas Light Fight" (4.862 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and the penultimate "The Great Holiday Baking Show" (4.077 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.410 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4) offered up second runs of "Gotham" (1.385 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) and "Bones" (1.436 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9).

And finally, an encore of "The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" (1.231 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) and the fall finale of "Jane the Virgin" (1.002 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) on The CW (1.116 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.6/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (12/15/14):

NBC (10.274 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) continued its winning ways on Monday with the penultimate night of "The Voice" (12.167 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.9, #1) followed by a new "State of Affairs" (6.487 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T5).

CBS (9.065 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) then took home the silver with its mix of "2 Broke Girls" (7.833 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2), "Mike & Molly" (7.872 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #4), "Scorpion" (9.890 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (9.453 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T5).

Next up was ABC (5.731 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) with originals from "The Great Christmas Light Fight" (6.013 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8), another "The Great Christmas Light Fight" (5.994 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7) and a repeat "Castle" (5.188 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.391 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up its inaugural "American Country Countdown Awards" (3.391 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

And finally, the return of "Hart of Dixie" (1.197 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and the fall finale of "Jane the Virgin" (1.272 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) closed out the evening on The CW (1.234 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the "Dixie" delivered a 0.5 rating while "Jane" posted a 0.8 rating.
