Friday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC, CBS & FOX Share Adults 18-49 Crown

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/15/16):

CBS (8.773 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) was the most-watched network on Friday with originals from "Undercover Boss" (6.492 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.335 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (10.492 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T3).

ABC (5.589 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) then was the number two draw with its combination of "Last Man Standing" (7.166 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T3), "Dr. Ken" (5.411 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7), "Shark Tank" (5.642 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T1) and "20/20" (4.835 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7).

Next up was FOX (3.978 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) who likewise shared the demo crown with a new "MasterChef Junior" (4.531 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T1) and the season premiere of "Hell's Kitchen" (3.425 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.399 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up a new "Undateable" (2.766 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11), a repeat "Superstore" (2.214 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12) and a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (5.354 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #6).

And finally, a new "Reign" (1.358 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13) and a repeat "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.239 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13) on The CW (1.298 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (1/16/15):

ABC (6.689 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) was the demo champ on Friday with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.995 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6), "Cristela" (5.163 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8), "Shark Tank" (8.520 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) and "20/20" (5.470 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2).

CBS (10.404 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) however was still the most-watched network with originals from "Undercover Boss" (8.160 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), "Hawaii Five-0" (10.444 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2) and "Blue Bloods" (12.608 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2).

Next up was NBC (4.060 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with the return of "Constantine" (3.080 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11), "Grimm" (4.601 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7) and "Dateline NBC" (4.500 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.656 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up the debut of "World's Funniest Fails" (3.333 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9) and a new "Glee" (1.978 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #12).

And finally, The CW (1.043 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening with its mix of "Hart of Dixie" (1.162 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.851 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T14) and "Masters of Illusion" (0.998 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T14). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.6, 0.2 and 0.2 rating, respectively.
