NBC BEATS THE NIGHT'S #2-3 NETS COMBINED, A FIRST ON A PREMIERE TUESDAY SINCE 1987

NBC wins the night in every key demo, sweeping 6 of 6 half-hours in 18-49. NBC beat the combined rating of #2 CBS and #3 ABC in 18-49 (2.7 vs. 2.5 combined), which hasn't happened on a Premiere Week Tuesday since 1987.

"The Voice," "This Is Us" and "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders" are the #1-2-3 shows of the night in 18-49.

The second season debut of "This Is Us" (3.8/14 in 18-49, 12.6 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET):

· Sets a new series record in 18-49, up +12% vs. the show's prior high set on March 14 with the Season 1 finale (3.4).

· Soars +36% versus last season's series premiere in 18-49 (3.8 vs. 2.8 at 10 p.m. on Sept. 20) and +2.6 million persons or +26% in total viewers (12.643 million vs. 10.065 million).

· Beats the ABC-CBS-Fox competition combined in 18-49 (3.8 vs. a combined 3.3).

· Is NBC's top-rated scripted program in the timeslot in 10 years (since Jan. 2, 2007, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 4.1)

· Among women 18-49 (5.2), equaled NBC's highest rating for a regularly scheduled scripted program on any night of the week (excludes post-Super Bowl telecasts) since the "ER" finale (8.0 on Thursday, April 2, 2009).

· Will grow dramatically via time-shifting and VOD - last season, "This Is Us" increased by +81% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.68 to a 4.84) and +5.5 million viewers overall (9.9 million to 15.4 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

· SOCIAL: Last night's "This Is Us" is the most social broadcast episode year-to-date (Source: Nielsen Social Content Ratings, 1/1/17-9/26/17, Linear metrics, excluding sports events and specials, ranked on total uniques).

· Upscale: Last season, "This Is Us" generated a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 146 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.

The debut of "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders" (1.7/7 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET):

· Wins the hour in every key demographic (including a tie in men 25-54).

· Beats CBS' fourth-season premiere of "NCIS: New Orleans" by +70% (1.7 vs. 1.0) and ABC's second hour of "Dancing With the Stars" by +55% (1.7 vs. 1.1).

· Scores NBC's highest rating in the timeslot with in-season regular programming since Jan. 24 (1.8).

"The Voice" (2.6/11 in 18-49, 10.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):

· Jumps +37% versus where the show ended last season with its May 23 finale in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 1.9 on May 23) and in total viewers is up +10% (10.616 million vs. 9.654 million).

· Maintains 100% of the show's prior Tuesday premiere in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.6 on Feb. 28).

· Beats the season premiere of "NCIS" in the timeslot by +63% in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 1.6).

· Equals the show's highest Tuesday rating in the past year (since Sept. 27, 2016).

· Wins the time period among the Big 4 nets in every key demographic.

· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - last season, Tuesday's "Voice" increased by +26% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 2.27 to a 2.85) and +1.9 million viewers overall (10.4 million to 12.3 million).

· Upscale: Last season, Tuesday's "Voice" delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 111 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.

· On Sunday Sept. 17, "The Voice" won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality Competition Program for a fourth time and for the third year in a row.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night (with two Florida markets excluded):

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.2/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.8/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/5; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/3.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
