England's Toughest Cop Is Coming To America!

Don't Tell The Bad Guys!

THE A&E NETWORK SPECIAL COMMANDER CASTLE PREMIERES WITH BACK-TO-BACK HALF-HOUR EPISODES THURSDAY, JULY 13, 2006 @ 10 AND 10:30Pm EST/PST

NEW YORK, JULY 5, 2006 -- He's tough, he's bald, he's British -- and he's the guy police departments across America call when they have a new threat to tackle. He is Paul Castle, a.k.a. COMMANDER CASTLE, central character in a real-life A&E Network Special premiering with back-to-back thirty minute episodes on Thursday, July 13 at 10 and 10:30pm ET and PT / 9 and 9:30pm CT.

With nearly three decades of experience at the highest ranks of the UK Police Force, Commander Paul Castle has become the "super cop" of police officers, with techniques that are unapologetically unorthodox. He utilizes everything from humor to humiliation to prepare local officers to safely handle perilous encounters that lay ahead, from a department dealing with the loss of a fellow officer, to a suburban neighborhood facing down drug dealers. In each case, Paul provides the officers with training that is tailor-made to attack their challenges head on. At the end of each episode, viewers will see the amazing transformation of the local police -- especially from the so-called "weak links" -- as they are tested with a highly realistic mock mission ... or even a real-life raid.

EPISODE 1: Wheeling, West Virginia

Thursday, July 13 at 10pm ET and PT / 9pm CT

Paul whips a Wheeling, West Virginia police unit into shape, culminating in the transformation of a rookie, and an emotional Commander Castle.

EPISODE 2: Meriden, CT

Thursday, July 13 at 10:30pm ET and PT / 9:30pm CT

A group of drug dealers have moved into Meridien, Connecticut and have threatened an officer. The local police chief calls in Paul Castle to train his officers to bring those dealers down. We follow a young woman officer and a veteran as they struggle through Castle's training, and participate in a real-life raid of the drug dealers.
