New Series PSYCH Debuts as Most Watched New Show in Basic Cable

NEW YORK -� July 11, 2006 �- USA Network led the charge this week as the #1 network in basic cable prime among all key demos: households (2.3 rating), P18-34 (0.6 million), P18-49 (1.3 million), P25-54 (1.4 million) and total viewers (3 million). This was the strongest week for USA Network since the start of 2006.

USA took the ratings crown with strong performances from WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW, the launch of the much-anticipated new series PSYCH on Friday, MONK Season 5 premiere setting records in its new 9pm timeslot, and THE 4400 and THE DEAD ZONE on Sunday, garnering their largest audiences since their season premieres among P25-54.

� WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW ranked as the top two programs Monday night in P18-34 (1.4 million), P18-49 (2.5 million) and P25-54 (2.3 million) in the 10p and 9p telecasts on average.

� The launch of PSYCH was the highest rated new scripted series for the year in basic cable prime among households (4.5 rating), P18-49 (2.5 million), P25-54 (2.5 million) and total viewers (6.1 million). The MONK Season 5 premiere earned more viewers than any scripted hour in basic cable EVER in the Friday 9p hour among total viewers (5.1 million).

� THE 4400 and THE DEAD ZONE continue to maintain USA's position as the #1 network for original series on Sunday night, with the two programs taking the top two spots in basic cable prime on Sunday among P25-54 (2 million in P25-54 for THE 4400 and 1.7 million in P25-54 for THE DEAD ZONE).

� USA's Saturday 10p airing of the movie 50 FIRST DATES was the #1 movie in basic cable prime for the week with an average of 1.5 million in P25-54 and ranked within the top ten telecasts of the week.

USA surpassed its ratings for the same week last year (7/04-7/10/05) by double digits in all key demos, up 18 percent in households, up 52 percent in P18-49, up 28 percent in P25-54 and up 28 percent in total viewers.
