DANE COOK TO CO-HOST "TEEN CHOICE 2006" WITH JESSICA SIMPSON LIVE SUNDAY, AUGUST 20, ON FOX

Kevin Federline's Live Performance Marks His Network Television Debut

Dane Cook will co-host TEEN CHOICE 2006 with Jessica Simpson on Sunday, Aug. 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET Live/PT Tape-Delayed) on FOX. Cook co-stars with Simpson in the upcoming film "Employee of the Month." Kevin Federline will close the show, performing his single "Lose Control," live, for the first time on network television. TEEN CHOICE 2006 will offer an advance look at the glitz and glamour before the event during a red carpet special Sunday, Aug. 20 (7:30-8:00 PM ET Live/PT Tape-Delayed).

Federline, who was also the executive producer and co-star of the reality television show "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," is set to release his single "Lose Control" in August and the album "Playing with Fire" will debut soon after his performance at TEEN CHOICE. Federline has been featured in Newsweek, Blender and Giant Magazine's first annual music issue. Federline began his career as a backup dancer, performing with Michael Jackson, *NSYNC, Destiny's Child and Pink. Other performers and presenters will be announced soon.

Writer/director/producer/actor Cook is a dynamic and multifaceted talent. He was recently named Rolling Stone's Hot Comic and Stuff Magazine's Coolest Comic of the Year. His hit series, "Dane Cook's Tourgasm," showcases Cook and his three friends Gary Gulman, Jay Davis and Robert Kelly, who are at different stages of their careers in the comedy business, as they perform their stand-up acts across the country. Additionally, Cook is enjoying the successful release of his sophomore platinum CD/DVD, "Retaliation," which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, making him the highest-charting comedian in 25 years.

Up next for Cook is his stand-up special cable event, "Vicious Circle," which premieres this fall. Cook recently wrapped production on the dramatic film "Mr. Brooks" with Kevin Costner, Demi Moore and William Hurt and will spend this summer in Vancouver shooting the comedy feature "Good Luck Chuck" with Jessica Alba. In 2005, Cook's television appearances included the "2005 MTV Video Music Awards" and host duties on "Saturday Night Live." Cook is also a regular special guest on shows such as "The Tonight Show," "Late Night with Conan O'Brian" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Cook and Simpson will preside as co-hosts over the eighth annual special, where the coolest stars will receive coveted Teen Choice surfboard awards in categories such as Choice Breakout TV Show, Choice Sleazebag, Choice Hissy Fit, Choice Rumble, Choice TV Actress, Choice Rock Track, Choice Grill, Choice Athlete and Choice TV Sidekick. At TEEN CHOICE 2006, Cook is nominated for Choice Comedian and Simpson is nominated for Choice Movie Breakout Performance, Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon and Choice Hottie. From now until Thursday, Aug. 11, voters can log on to Teenpeople.com, MySpace.com, IGN.com and FOX.com to cast their ballots for the hottest celebrities in film, television, music, sports and fashion.

TEEN CHOICE 2006 is executive-produced by Bob Bain ("Kids Choice Awards") and Mike Burg. Paul Flattery serves as producer. Greg Sills serves as supervising producer.
