Top UFC Lightweight Contenders Spencer Fisher and Sam Stout Rematch on Spike TV's UFC Fight Night Tuesday, June 12 at 9:00 pm

Rising Star Jon Fitch Takes on Brazilian Roan Carniero in Co-Feature

NEW YORK, May 9 -- Spike TV presents a night of hard-hitting action from some of UFC's rising stars on UFC Fight Night on Tuesday, June 12 at 9:00 pm ET/PT from the Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.

Top lightweight contenders Sam "Hands of Stone" Stout and Spencer "The King" Fisher reprise their three-round battle from last March in the main event. Stout (9-2-1) won a majority decision in a hotly-contested bout over Fisher (20-3) last year which elevated him to the upper echelon in the division. Fisher reportedly felt wronged by the judges' decision and looks to exact his revenge in the nationally-televised fight card.

Stout, from Ontario, Canada, used the victory over Fisher as a springboard to a fight with Kenny Florian, with the stakes being a shot at the vacant lightweight title. Florian, however, curtailed Stout's bid for the belt by submitting him via rear naked chokehold in the first round. Fisher, a North Carolina native who fights with Team Miletich in Iowa, recently lost to one of the 155 lb division's top stars, Hermes Franca, via TKO in the second round this past January. A victory over Stout would exorcise the ghosts of his defeat at UFC 58 and put him on course for a championship title fight.

Indiana native Jon Fitch (18-2) takes on Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert Roan Carneiro (11-5) in the co-feature. Fitch, a former standout wrestler at Purdue University, is 4-0 in the Octagon, including wins over an impressive list of UFC middleweight contenders such as Luigi Fioravanti, Kuniyoshi Hironaka, Thiago Alves, Josh Burkman and Brock Larsen. The Rio De Janeiro native Carniero made his Octagon debut in April with a victory over The Ultimate Fighter 4 alum, Rich "No Love" Clementi.

Spike TV is available in 91 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks. MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc.

The remaining bouts for UFC Fight Night will be announced in the near future. All bouts are subject to change.
