Brian Williams Anchors Network Coverage Beginning at 10:30 AM ET

MSNBC to Present 21 Hours of Continuous Live Coverage of the Inauguration Led by Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews & Rachel Maddow

NEW YORK � Jan. 8, 2009 � The networks of NBC Universal � NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Msnbc.com, Telemundo, NBC Mobile and NBC News Radio � will present extensive coverage of the Inauguration of President Barack Obama. NBC News' Brian Williams will anchor the network's live, wide-ranging coverage of the Inauguration, including the parade, all ceremonies and activity throughout our nation's capital as history is made.

Williams will lead the team of NBC News' extensive lineup of anchors and correspondents, along with NBC News Special Correspondent Tom Brokaw and "Weekend Today" and "Weekend Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt. NBC News' Tom Costello, Ann Curry, Rehema Ellis, David Gregory, Savannah Guthrie, Tamron Hall, Andrea Mitchell, Natalie Morales, Kelly O'Donnell, Norah O'Donnell, Al Roker, Luke Russert, Chuck Todd and John Yang, will report from various points within Washington covering the day's activities from all angles.

NBC will also air a live, one-hour special at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20. Anchored by Williams, the hour will report live from the inaugural galas, highlighting the night's biggest events and featuring many special guests.

"NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" will originate from Washington on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20. NBC News' Digital Correspondent Mara Schiavocampo will contribute reports from various points within Washington leading up to and during the Inauguration for the Nightly News website, www.nightly.msnbc.com.

NBC News kicks off the inaugural week on Sunday, Jan. 18 with a special edition of "Meet the Press with David Gregory."

On Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20, NBC News will broadcast special editions of "Today" with Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry and Al Roker anchoring live from Washington. On Inauguration Day, "Today" will cover all aspects of the day's events including the parade and crowds at the National Mall with all four anchors reporting live from key locations. "Today's" Natalie Morales will also be reporting from Washington on Tuesday.

MSNBC

MSNBC will telecast live outdoors on the National Mall in Washington D.C. as Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States, with coverage led by Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Eugene Robinson, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. ET. on Tuesday, Jan. 20. MSNBC will continue live coverage from the Mall throughout the afternoon and in primetime, with live telecasts of "Hardball with Chris Matthews" at 5 and 7 p.m. ET; "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" at 6 p.m. ET; "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" at 8 p.m. ET; "The Rachel Maddow Show" at 9 p.m. ET; and live coverage with Olbermann, Matthews, Maddow and Robinson continuing from 10 p.m.-12 a.m. ET. David Shuster anchors live coverage from 12-3 a.m. ET. MSNBC will also be live throughout the day and in primetime from the Mall leading up to the Inauguration on Monday, Jan. 19.

"Morning Joe" will be live from the Dubliner Restaurant & Pub on Capitol Hill, Monday, Jan. 19, 6-9 a.m. ET and Tuesday, Jan. 20, 6 a.m.-10 a.m. ET, with hosts Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist.

Additionally, MSNBC will also be live from the Mall throughout the day all weekend leading up to Inauguration Day beginning Saturday, Jan. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 18.

CNBC

CNBC is airing special live programming, "CNBC Reports: President Obama & Your Money," from 7am-5pm on Monday, Jan. 19 with reports from John Harwood, Carl Quintanilla, Hampton Pearson, Diana Olick, Bertha Coombs, Tyler Mathisen from Washington, DC.

On Inauguration Day, CNBC will have Carl Quintanilla and John Harwood in place for "Squawk Box" (6-9 AM ET) from Washington, DC in addition to the CNBC reporters named above. CNBC will also have all other stories/economic coverage as it pertains to the new White House based at CNBC Global Headquarters and from other parts of the country. Carl Quintanilla will co-anchor "CNBC Reports" from Washington that evening.

MSNBC.COM

Msnbc.com has created a special Inauguration section that offers consumers expansive Inaugural coverage, including the latest breaking political news, original stories, exclusive interactive tools, FirstRead blog posts, and world-class video from NBC News. On January 20, consumers can watch live video streaming of the Inauguration coverage on msnbc.com's homepage or on www.politics.msnbc.com and easily embed the video into their sites and blogs.

The Inauguration section features an exclusive interactive that looks at President-elect Obama's White House Transition team and who's on the list to fill the 28 top Cabinet and departmental jobs. Consumers can also view slideshows of Barack Obama's presidential journey, George W. Bush's legacy, and previous Inaugurations. Readers can share their own stories about their road to the Inauguration through FirstPerson, msnbc.com's popular citizen journalism tool. Users can submit video and photos of themselves as they travel to the capital and explain what it means to them to attend the event and to witness the swearing-in first-hand.

The site will also feature Microsoft's Photosynth, a new product for creating and sharing an immersive photo experience of a place or an event. Photosynth software uses pattern matching technology to find the commonalities between individual pictures and then places those pictures within the context of a digital environment that a user can move around in.

The special Inauguration section will offer a wide range of original stories about the preparations leading up to this historic moment as well as look back at previous Inaugurations. On January 18, msnbc.com will feature profiles on both Barack and Michelle Obama and a look ahead to President-elect Obama's first 100 days in office. On January 19, the coverage will include remembrances of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the impact of his legacy on Obama. On January 20, Inauguration Day, msnbc.com will feature live streaming and comprehensive Inauguration Day coverage across all platforms. Telemundo will have news anchor Pedro Sevcec and "Al Rojo Vivo's" Maria Celeste live from Washington on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20. Coverage will include live reports on Telemundo's national newscast and "Al Rojo Vivo," news-briefs throughout the day and blogs on telemundo.com. The network will also air a live 2-hour special hosted by Pedro Sevcec and Maria Celeste, on Tuesday, January 20 at 11am (ET).

NBC NEWS MOBILE & RADIO

NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC coverage will be live on Verizon Vcast Mobile TV (FloTV), AT&T Mobile TV (FloTV), and on MobiTV available on AT&T and Sprint.
