GARY UNMARRIED (CBS) - Co-stars Jaime King and Ed Begley Jr. have reportedly been let go from the freshman comedy. No reason was given for the departures, which will take effect beginning with episode 14. Jay Mohr, Kathryn Newton, Paula Marshall, Ryan Malgarini and Al Madrigal also star in the series, which airs Wednesdays at 8:30/7:30c.
HUMAN TARGET/MAGGIE HILL (A.K.A. UNTITLED IAN BIEDERMAN PROJECT) (FOX) - FOX is on track to order both drama projects to pilot, industry sources confirmed today. "Human Target," based on the DC Comics character of the same name, centers on a mysterious security expert who goes undercover to protect clients in danger. "Jericho" co-creator Jonathan Steinberg is behind the hour, which is set up at Warner Bros. Television and McG's Wonderland Sound and Vision. "Maggie Hill," from "Shark" creator Ian Biederman," then revolves around a female cardiac surgeon who struggles with schizophrenia. The project is set up at 20th Century Fox Television with Imagine Television's Brian Grazer and David Nevins also serving as executive producers.
TICK TOCK (CBS, New!) - The Eye reportedly is close to issuing a cast-contingent pilot order to a new single-camera comedy from Bill Kunstler ("The War at Home"). The project, which is set up at CBS Paramount Network Television, revolves around a thirtysomething single mother who decides to focus her attention on finding true love. No other details were given.
