AHC Celebrates Heroes Who Make History with Action-packed First Quarter Programming Slate
Highlights include new seasons of "Against the Odds," "What History Forgot" and "Codes and Conspiracies."

AHC CELEBRATES HEROES WHO MAKE HISTORY WITH ACTION-PACKED FIRST QUARTER PROGRAMMING SLATE

(Pasadena, Cal.) - American Heroes Channel (AHC) announced today an action-packed first quarter programming slate, featuring premieres of thrilling series and specials that celebrate the unsung heroes of history. Week after week, AHC offers viewers compelling, emotional stories of pivotal moments from our nation's past that helped shape our society today.

Headlining AHC's first quarter slate are premieres of two specials that honor heroes throughout US history. Up first, JUSTICE FOR MLK: THE HUNT FOR JAMES EARL RAY, following the ultimate game of cat-and-mouse to hunt down one of the most wanted men in history... Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s killer. The two-hour special premieres Sunday, January 17 at 9/8c and features exclusive interviews with some of Dr. King's closest friends and confidants. Next, AHC goes back to the Wild West with WESTERN WEEK, which is anchored by the premiere of THE COWBOY on Saturday, January 23 at 9/8c. A two-part television event, THE COWBOY explores the origins behind the American film icon - the cowboy.

First quarter also features premieres of two new original series, BLOOD FEUDS and AMERICANLAWMEN. BLOOD FEUDS - premiering Wednesday, January 6 at 10/9c - delves into six of the most epic vendettas, simmering tensions, and bitter hatred that fueled our nation's most iconic rivalries. From disturbing the peace to protecting it, AHC shifts gears with the premiere of AMERICAN LAWMEN on Wednesday, February 17 at 10/9c. This eight episode series chronicles the story of the brave citizens who first picked up the badge and helped establish law enforcement during one of the United States' most tumultuous times.

In addition, AHC will return several signature series, including the network's flagship program, AGAINST THE ODDS. Narrated by Blair Underwood, AGAINST THE ODDS kicks off its sophomore season on Monday, February 15 at 10/9cwith all-new awe-inspiring stories of bravery, solidarity and strength on the battlefield. Next, AHC welcomes back its favorite teacher and history buff Joe Moniaci, who tells the lesser-known side of history in an all-new season of WHATHISTORY FORGOT, kicking off on Tuesday, March 1 at 10/9c. Wrapping up first quarter is the season three premiere of CODES AND CONSPIRACIES on Sunday, March 6 at 10/9c, revealing new information and history behind some of the world's most iconic clandestine institutions, top secret locations, and mysterious symbols.

JUSTICE FOR MLK: THE HUNT FOR JAMES EARL RAY Two-Hour Special World Premiere Sunday, January 17 at 9/8c

The death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was an event that shook the world, changed the face of America, and sparked one of the largest manhunts in the history of the FBI. This Martin Luther King weekend, American Heroes Channel (AHC) honors the life and death of Dr. King with a two-hour landmark television event, JUSTICE FOR MLK: THE HUNT FOR JAMES EARL RAY, with never-before-revealed details about the hunt through new interviews with members of his tight inner circle and those involved in the investigation.

THE COWBOY Two-Part Special Premieres Back-to-Back Saturday, January 23 at 9/8c and 10/9c

THE COWBOY is a dynamic celebration of the most beloved American icon, as viewed through the eyes of renowned actors, directors, writers and historians of the Western genre - including Bruce Dern and Seth MacFarlane - as well as country artists, real-life cowboys, and modern-day Western figures. Featuring original and archival interviews, memorable moments from classic and contemporary Western films, on set and on the range footage all set to a country music score, this two-part special explores the full meaning of what it meant to be this virtuous embodiment of the American character - and harkens back to the spirit that this way of life captured.

BLOOD FEUDS New Series Premieres Wednesday, January 6 at 10/9c

Bill the Butcher vs. John Morrisey. The Hatfields vs. the McCoys. Soapy Smith vs. Frank Reid. These are the rivalries that defined American history, as foes became fatalities in the ultimate street fight for honor, power, and pride. BLOOD FEUDS digs deep into their epic vendettas and more, with each story centered around our nation's most iconic rivalries. The series features six action-packed stories chock-full of simmering tensions, brutal struggles and bitter hatred - from racist street gangs battling for territory, to former friends turned mortal enemies.

AMERICAN LAWMEN New Series Premieres Wednesday, February 17 at 10/9c

1850-1930 was a dangerous time in America-an era during which problems were often solved with a revolver and a shallow grave. AMERICAN LAWMEN puts a lens on the brutal outlaws who posed a direct threat to society, leading to the birth of law enforcement in America. As told from the perspective of the men and women who fought to create justice and establish order, each episode chronicles the story of brave citizens who first picked up a badge to protect the innocent, and establish a safer society during a violent and turbulent time.
