SUCCESS OF TRAVEL CHANNEL'S "EXPEDITION UNKNOWN" DRIVES THIRD SEASON RENEWAL
NEW YORK (March 24, 2016) - With the successful sophomore season of "Expedition Unknown" featuring explorer Josh Gates in full swing, Travel Channel has greenlit the series for a third season to air later this year. Ratings for "Expedition Unknown," currently premiering new episodes on Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, are 143 percent above its time slot's year-ago average for P25-54, with triple digit gains posted among W25-54 (+183 percent), M25-54 (+127 percent) and P18-49 (+142 percent). "Expedition Unknown" follows Gates, who also serves as an executive producer, as he journeys around the world in search of answers to some of the world's most fascinating and iconic legends and stories.
