FLUFFY SHOP, THE (ABC/ABCS; W: Gabriel Iglesias, Jay Lavender & Tim Doyle; D: Ted Wass) - Tyler Hilton ("Extant") has scored a role on the Gabriel Iglesias-led multi-camera comedy pilot, which is inspired by the comedian's life experience including the challenges of managing a home life during the few days he spends off the road each week. He'll play Memo, "high-spirited, earnest and sincere, he is Gabe's oldest and most loyal friend." Paul Walter Hauser was originally cast in said role. In addition, Ted Wass has been confirmed as directing. (Deadline.com)
MACGYVER (CBS/CTS; W: Paul Downs Colaizzo; D: David Von Ancken) - Addison Timlin and Michelle Krusiec are both bound for the drama pilot, in which twentysomething Angus MacGyver (Lucas Till) gets recruited into the clandestine organization from the original series where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening. Timlin will play Mickey, "an app developer who's aggressively progressive in her political views with a soft spot for MacGyver"; with Krusiec as Agent Croix, "Lincoln's (George Eads) sister who works for the Department of Homeland Security." (Deadline.com)
RANDALL & HILDA ARE NOT A COUPLE (ABC/ABCS; W: Ed Weeks & Hannah Mackay; D: Leslye Headland) - Tattiawna Jones ("Flashpoint") is set as the female lead in the single-camera comedy pilot, about the co-dependent relationship between Hilda, a lesbian lothario, and Randall (Andy Ridings), her cautious, straight male best friend. She'll play the aforementioned Hilda, "an intelligent and seemingly confident lesbian lothario with a dry sense of humor that she uses to hide her underlying fear of growing up, settling down and becoming conventional." (Deadline.com)
TICK, THE (Amazon/Sony; W: Ben Edlund; D: Wally Pfister) - Brendan Hines ("Scorpion") is the latest to be cast in the streaming service's new adaptation of Ben Edlund's comic book series with Peter Serafinowicz in the title role. He'll play a new character Superian, "a superhero with issues." (Deadline.com)
