ANTARCTICA (CBS, New!) - Paul Grellong has booked a new drama at the Eye "set in the near future after a changing climate has reshaped the globe. In it, a tenacious, uncompromising FBI agent on the run from a scandal in her past is transferred to a remote outpost, where she gets embroiled in the colonization of America's 51st state - Antarctica." Osprey Productions' Josh Berman and Jen Robinson will also executive produce for Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com)
BAD HABITS, HOLY ORDERS (Hulu, New!) - The streaming service has acquired the four-part reality series from Keshet International. The project, from Crackit Productions, "follows a Catholic convent as it takes in five raucous, selfie-obsessed party girls." (Deadline.com)
BULLETPROOF/BURDEN OF TRUTH/CORONER (The CW) - The netlet has acquired additional seasons of the aforementioned series. U.K. import "Bulletproof" will return with a three-episode special event, labeled by producers as the series' third season, while Canadian dramas "Coroner" and "Burden of Truth" will be back for seasons three and four, respectively. CBS STUDIOS SERIES (CBS) - The network has confirmed a reduced episode count for its studio's scripted series this season due to the industrywide COVID-19 production delay. "Blue Bloods", "Bull", "Magnum P.I.", "NCIS", "NCIS: New Orleans" and "SEAL Team" are now slated for 16 episodes; with "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "The Neighborhood" set at 18; and "The Unicorn" rounding out the group with 13. Shows from outside studios are expected to receive a similar reduction however exact episode counts were not given. (Variety.com)
COLIN IN BLACK & WHITE (Netflix) - Jaden Michael has scored the title role in the six-episode series, based on the life of former NFL star and social justice activist Colin Kaepernick. (Deadline.com)
DR. DEATH (Peacock) - Hubert Point-Du Jour and Maryann Plunkett have both scored roles in the limited series. Point-Du Jour will play "the OR nurse at Dallas Medical Center who first brings Duntsch's disastrous surgical misadventures to the attention of Henderson and Kirby"; and Plunkett portrays "a patient whose botched surgery became the foundation of the criminal case against Duntsch." GINGER SNAPS (New!) - Anna Ssemuyaba is spearheading a small screen take on the werewolf-themed film franchise for Sid Gentle Films and Copperheart Entertainment. John Fawcett, the original film's director, is also on board to executive produce, as are Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Clark Peterson, and Steve Hoban. (Deadline.com)
GOOD GIRLS (NBC) - Executive producer Carla Banks Waddles has signed an overall deal with the show's producer, Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
MAD ABOUT YOU (Spectrum) - Producer The Nacelle Company has signed a two-year, first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television. The pact gives the studio first crack at its television output. (Deadline.com)
MEDIATOR WITH ICE-T, THE (Syndication, New!) - A half-hour legal series hosted by Ice-T is set for a four-week test run on the Fox Television Stations group beginning in March 2021: "In the program, Ice-T will virtually seek resolutions between two feuding civilian parties. Each side will plead their argument, providing the evidence, facts and details of the case to Ice-T, who will then call upon various well-known and knowledgeable experts to share their perspective and advice. As an unbiased and respected third party, Ice-T will offer his best recommendation for how the complainants should proceed. If they accept his suggestion, the case will be settled. If they choose not to accept, the case will move to court. The program will provide viewers with updates on the results of various cases that move forward to court." Stuart Krasnow, Andre Jetmir, Ice-T, and Jorge Hinojosa are the executive producers for Jetmir Media and Final Level Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
MOON KNIGHT (Disney+) - Mohamed Diab has been tapped to direct the upcoming Marvel Comics series, which is expected to cast Oscar Isaac in the title role. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JON STEWART PROJECT (Apple TV+, New!) - Jon Stewart is set to host and executive produce a one-hour current affairs series for the streaming service, which "will explore topics that are currently part of the national conversation and his advocacy work." The project is part of a newly signed first-look deal with Apple TV+ via his Busboy Productions banner. EDEN Productions' Richard Plepler and Stewart's longtime manager James Dixon will also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
