PUNK ASS BITCH (Hulu, New!) - Comedian Chris Estrada is set to star in a new comedy pilot at the streamer about Julio Lopez (Estrada), "a punk ass bitch with a heart of gold, who goes out of his way to help everyone but himself. Inspired by the life and stand-up comedy of star, co-creator, and real-life punk ass bitch Chris Estrada, this cinematic half-hour comedy explores Julio's attempts to better his community, overcome his codependency issues with his family, and navigate working class life in South Central Los Angeles." SHINING VALE (Starz) - Mira Sorvino and Merrin Dungey have both been cast in the Courteney Cox-led horror-comedy pilot. Sorvino will play Rosemary, "who is either Pat's (Cox) alter ego, a split personality, her id, her muse, or a demon trying to possess her." Dungey then is Kam, "Pat's oldest friend and book editor, a no-bulls**t straight talker who knows and loves Pat more than Pat does herself." (Deadline.com)
T.I. & TINY: FRIENDS & FAMILY HUSTLE (VH1) - Filming on the series has been put on hold after stars Tip "T.I." Harris and Tameka "Tiny" Harris "have faced a range of sexual abuse accusations, including trafficking, drugging and coercing women." "We are aware of the allegations, and while they are not connected to our show, we have reached out to T.I. and Tameka Harris, as well as local and state officials," an MTV Entertainment spokesperson said in a statement. "Given the serious nature of the allegations, we have decided to suspend production in order to gather more information." Said development is expected to push its previously announced spring premiere. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED GAMESTOP FILM PROJECT (HBO, New!) - The pay channel is developing a TV movie take on the much-publicized stock market surge, described as "exploring how a populist uprising of social media day traders beat Wall Street at their own game, turning the stock market upside down and shaking the financial world to its core." Andrew Ross Sorkin of TBTF Productions, Len Amato of Crash&Salvage, and Jason Blum of Blumhouse Television are among the featured auspices. (Variety.com)
WELCOME TO GEORGIA (CBS) - Taran Killam has signed onto the Elizabeth Hurley/Hannah Simone-led comedy pilot as Josh, "Penelope's (Simone) husband, father to their toddler son, Levi, and an airline pilot who loves his job. Josh is a bit more tolerant of Penelope's mother, Georgia (Hurley), and tends to cut her more slack." (Deadline.com)
WOKE (Hulu) - Anthony King has joined the Lamorne Morris-led comedy's second season as showrunner. He'll take over from Jay Dyer, whose exit was not further detailed. (Variety.com)
