Acorn TV Debuts "Murder Mystery May" Biggest Month of Mystery Premieres Ever

NEW YORK - April 17, 2025 - On May 1, AMC Networks' popular streamer, Acorn TV, will debut its first annual Murder Mystery May, a month-long event showcasing the world's best whimsical mysteries and investigative crime dramas. The event will feature a wide range of mystery content from the premiere of acclaimed new crime drama The One Who Got Away starring Richard Harrington (Hinterland), White Lies with Natalie Dormer, to new episodes of long-running fan favorites such as Harry Wild, The Brokenwood Mysteries and Murdoch Mysteries, to a slew of thriller and mystery films including Rogue Agent starring James Norton, Gemma Arterton and Sarah Goldberg, Cracks starring Eva Green, Juno Temple and Imogen Poots and Six Minutes to Midnight starring Dame Judi Dench and Jim Broadbent.

Celebrating the breadth of Acorn TV crime dramas, from quirky mysteries to diabolical thrillers, Murder Mystery May showcases what Acorn TV does best as a destination for all things mystery, all month long.

Acorn TV's Murder Mystery May will have subscribers sleuthing all month long with new episodes of popular and acclaimed series every Monday, including:

· Harry Wild (Season 4 Premiere) - Premieres Monday, May 5, with 2 new episodes:

Acorn TV's hit Irish mystery series Harry Wild returns with Emmy-award winning actress Jane Seymour. Business couldn't be better at the Wild/Reid Detective Agency as Harry (Seymour, The Kominsky Method, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman) and Fergus (Rohan Nedd, Whitstable Pearl) welcome an unexpected client: Charlie Wild (Kevin Ryan, Guilt, Copper). Elsewhere, Harry is hired by a friend and former wild child turned nun; Lola (Rose O'Neill) stumbles upon a dance school mystery; a Dublin literary tour takes a bloody turn; and Fergus' hopes of going to college at the same time as Lola are threatened when she gets an incredible offer to study abroad.

· Murdoch Mysteries (Season 18) - New Episodes Continue Every Monday:

The new season, consisting of 22 episodes, including the series' 300th episode and has a bevy of notable guest stars including Countess Luann de Lesseps (The Real Housewives of New York City) and Siobhan Murphy (Cross, Danger Force). Award-winning actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (The Mandalorian, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Kim's Convenience) joins the cast as Inspector Albert Choi who brings a whole new perspective to Station House #4. This season, Murdoch and his team investigate brand new cases, including the killing of a man during a battlefield re-enactment, the veracity of a 'Missing Link' skull, a murder at a Charles Dickens convention, threats to a silent film star throwing Murdoch into a cinematic adventure, and the foiling a theft of the world's largest ruby. The season also explores social issues of the time, including a worker's strike at a factory, an early instance of low-income housing, competing public hydro projects and immigrants trying to purchase land in the 'paradise' wilds of Canada.

· The Brokenwood Mysteries (Season 11) - New Episodes Continue Every Monday:

From seemingly supernatural incidents in the idyllic community of Brokenwood to mysterious murders with hidden motives, Season 11 of the series sees Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Shepherd (Neill Rea, Go Girls, Auckward Love) and his team plunge into a web of deception, greed and dark secrets, using less than conventional methods to tackle their most perplexing cases yet.

· The One That Got Away (Season 1) - New Episodes Continue Every Monday:

The dark psychological drama sees DI Ffion Lloyd (Elen Rhys, The Mallorca Files) partnering up with her ex-lover DS Rick Sheldon (Richard Harrington, Hinterland), to find out who is responsible for murdering a nurse in a coastal town in west Wales. The murder opens old wounds in a small-town community, throwing a historic conviction into doubt and raising the horrifying prospect of a copycat killer. Full of twists and turns that lead up to a heart-stopping finale, this is a gripping forensic examination of a town, a killer, and a relationship, past and present.

Following her estranged brother's murder in his luxury home, Edie's world plunges deeper into chaos when her brother's teenage children become prime suspects for the crime. As Edie investigates, she finds herself at loggerheads with veteran detective Forty Bell (Brendon Daniels, Four Corners), and grapples with the crumbling local police force, a corrupt political system, and the secretive world of extreme Cape wealth.

· Boglands - Premieres May 26:

After fifteen years missing, police officer Conall Ó Súilleabháin's (Dónall Ó Héalai, Bob Marley: One Love, Monster) murdered mother, Sabine, is found buried in a bog. · Rogue Agent - Premieres May 16:

UK, Aug. 15, 1939: 17 days before WWII, an English teacher and his camera disappear from a coastal boarding school with 20 German teen girls. Miller (Eddie Izzard, Kaos, Ocean's Thirteen) gets the job six days later, secretly trying to find out what happened. Dame Judi Dench (Skyfall, Belfast), Jim Broadbent (Ten Percent, Moulin Rouge!) and Nigel Lindsay (The Chelsea Detective, Victoria) also star.

· Force of Nature: The Dry 2 - Premieres May 30:

Five women participate in a hiking retreat, but only four come out the other side. Federal agents Aaron Falk (Eric Bana, The Hulk, Memoir of a Snail, Dirty John) and Carmen Cooper (Jacqueline McKenzie, My Life Is Murder, Deep Blue Sea) head into the mountains, hoping to find their informant still alive.
