GET READY TO GET WILD: NETFLIX ANNOUNCES "MATING SEASON," A NEW ADULT ANIMATED ROM-COM FROM THE HORNY MINDS OF "BIG MOUTH"

Buckle Up, Big Mouth Fans!

Ahead of Its Return on May 23, Nick Kroll And The Gang Are Hitting The Road For The Big Mouth Swallows America Farewell Tour

Across 7 Seasons, 71 Episodes And Nearly 2,000 Minutes Of Runtime, Big Mouth Has Garnered Over 375 Million Views From You Beautiful Weirdos Around The World - and Season 8 is Just Three Weeks Away

Yo, puberty pals! Dry those tears, because while the Emmy(R)-nominated animated series, Big Mouth, is wrapping up its epic run, Mating Season, a new animated series for adults from the same wild minds at Brutus Pink that brought you characters like Hormone Monsters, Shame Wizards and Anxiety Mosquitoes, is on the way! Mating Season will debut on Netflix in 2026 and is set in the animal world starring a cast of bears, raccoons, deer, foxes and a host of other horny, lovable forest critters, as they navigate love, sexual relationships and the universal need to hook up and find a partner.

Mating Season is created and executive produced by Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, Andrew Goldberg and Nick Kroll with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers for Titmouse.

"Big Mouth broke new ground in the world of adult animation with heart, humor and total chaos - they took the awkwardness of adolescence and turned it into something universal and deeply human," said John Derderian, Vice President, Animation Series, Netflix. "Working with Nick Kroll and the brilliant minds at Brutus Pink over the course of eight seasons has been legendary. Now, with Mating Season, they'll bring that same bold and hilarious creativity into the animal kingdom. We're beyond excited to unleash this next chapter together."

Said the team at Brutus Pink, "After eight incredible seasons telling stories about growing up, we're excited to tell stories about actual grown-ups. Who happen to be animals. Who are also cartoons."

But, wait! Before Big Mouth's final bow on May 23, Nick Kroll and the whole gang are taking the show on the road, baby! They're rolling out across America to show off fresh new episodes, drop sick exclusive merch and make wild stops in places with names that'd make a hormone monster blush - like Cooter, Missouri, and Utah's very own, The Phallus. Buckle up, because it's going to get weird! Fans eager for a glimpse of the final episodes can get tickets to the screenings here.

The Brutus Pink team added, "There is no better way to celebrate a global phenomenon like Big Mouth than driving a yellow van from Dallas to Tampa to Chicago and all points West. Honestly though, it is exciting to give audiences around the country the chance to get a special first peek at the final season of Big Mouth before it's unleashed on the rest of the globe."

Since its debut on Netflix in 2017, Big Mouth has been the go-to for laughs, cringe and all things awkward adolescence. Over seven glorious seasons, 71 episodes of puberty-induced chaos and nearly 2,000 minutes of runtime, Big Mouth has racked up over 375 million views.

The series earned Netflix its first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program, and also saw Maya Rudolph snag four Emmy wins for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for her portrayal of Connie the Hormone Monstress. Over its eight seasons, 222 guest stars have lent their wacky, weird and wonderful voices to the show including Cynthia Erivo, Megan thee Stallion, Hugh Jackman, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Zach Galifianakis, Seth Rogen, Martin Short, Kristen Bell, Wanda Sykes, Tyler the Creator, Jeff Goldblum, Ira Glass, Steve Buscemi, Billy Porter, Padma Lakshmi, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Jean Smart.

Big Mouth didn't shy away from diving into the big stuff like identity, consent and mental health, often through music. The show released 74 original songs in its eight year history, with notable callouts: Totally Gay, Life is a F***ed Up Mess, Code Switching, Anything Goes in Florida, I Love My Body, Best Friends Make the Best Lovers and Esperando Pelitos.

Big Mouth has made a groundbreaking impact around the globe, pushing the boundaries of animated television by addressing taboo topics with humor and honesty. It has charted new ground in animation, providing audiences with a hilarious yet insightful way to learn about the complexities of adolescence and identity. Don't miss the eighth and final season returning May 23, 2025.

With Mating Season on the horizon, fans can look forward to another bold and entertaining journey from the creators who brought their animated brilliance to life in the genre-defining Big Mouth.
