CBS Has Nine of the Top 10 Scripted Programs Led by "NCIS"

CBS won its seventh consecutive week in viewers led by the continued ratings growth of BIG BROTHER and nine of the top 10 scripted series, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Aug. 8, week 46 of the 2009-2010 television year.

For the week in viewers: CBS (6.09m), NBC (5.67m), ABC (5.52m) and FOX (4.61m). Summer-to-date among viewers, CBS (6.40m) leads ABC (6.01m), NBC (5.44m) and FOX (5.14m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged a 1.9/06 in adults 25-54 and 1.4/05 in adults 18-49.

For the week in households: CBS (4.0/07), NBC and ABC (3.5/06, each) and FOX (2.8/05). Summer-to-date in households, CBS is first (4.2/08), ahead of ABC (3.7/07), NBC (3.4/06) and FOX (3.1/06).

? BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was first in households (4.1/07), viewers (6.97m), adults 25-54 (2.9/09), adults 18-49 (2.4/08) and tied for first in adults 18-34 (2.0/08, with FOX). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was up +4% in both adults 25-54 (from 2.8/09) and adults 18-49 (from 2.3/08), +5% in adults 18-34 (from 1.9/07) and added +260,000 viewers (from 6.71m, +4%). Compared to the same broadcast last year (on Tuesday, August 4, at 9:00 PM), BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was up +5% in adults 18-34 (from 1.9/07), even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 and added +560,000 viewers (from 6.41m, +9%).

? BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was first in households (4.3/08), viewers (7.14m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09), adults 18-49 (2.4/09) and adults 18-34 (2.2/08). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was up +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/09), +9% in adults 18-49 (from 2.2/08), +38% in adults 18-34 (from 1.6/07) and added +620,000 viewers (from 6.52m, +10%). Compared to the same night last year, BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was up +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/09), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.3/09), +29% in adults 18-34 (from 1.7/07) and added +680,000 viewers (from 6.46m, +11%).

? BIG BROTHER 12 SUNDAY was second in households (4.5/08), viewers (7.56m) adults 25-54 (3.1/09), adults 18-49 (2.5/08) and tied for second in adults 18-34 (2.1/07, with FOX). BIG BROTHER 12 SUNDAY posted season highs for any night this summer in both households and viewers, and matched its season high this summer for any night in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
