DESCRIPTION:
(from The CW's press release, August 2008) JOANNA GARCIA AND ANNE ARCHER STAR IN A NEW DRAMA BASED ON THE HIT BOOK "HOW TO TEACH FILTHY RICH GIRLS" Megan Smith (JoAnna Garcia, "Reba"), a smart and quirky young assistant at a glossy magazine, is fired when her Yale education proves detrimental to getting ahead in the world of tabloid journalism. Her boss (guest star Debi Mazar, "Entourage") takes pity on her and arranges an interview with Laurel Limoges (Anne Archer, "Fatal Attraction"), the elegant and wealthy head of a cosmetics empire based in Palm Beach. Laurel offers Megan a job as a live-in tutor for her twin teen granddaughters, Rose (Lucy Hale, "Bionic Woman") and Sage (Ashley Newbrough, "The Best Years"). The beautiful and rebellious twins are less-than-thrilled with their new tutor, but Megan is determined to win them over as she enjoys the perks of her new job - breathtaking private suite, gorgeous car and live-in chef (Allan Louis, "Stomp the Yard"). Even the neighbors are fabulous in Palm Beach, and Megan quickly catches the eye of Will Davis (Brian Hallisay, "Bones"), the wealthy and extremely hot dilettante who lives on the estate next door. Hoping to upset Megan, Sage encourages invites Megan's estranged sister Lily (Kristina Apgar, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") to Laurel's fund-raising event, where one of the waiters is Megan's best friend Charlie (Michael Cassidy, "Smallville"), who has been secretly in love with her for a long time. Michael Engler directed the pilot written by executive producer Rina Mimoun (#100).
