Who would have thought that a social media site called Twitter could become so popular and such a vital part of our lives that it would start to influence what we see on our televisions? Such is the case with the new sitcom "$#*! My Dad Says," which is based on Justin Halpern's Twitter feed of the same name. Halpern and co-writer Patrick Schumacker developed the idea into a sitcom and, with "Will & Grace" creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan at the helm, the series landed on the CBS schedule this fall.
Our Jim Halterman popped by the set earlier this week to chat with the cast - Nicole Sullivan, Will Sasso, Jonathan Sadowski and William Shatner in the titular role - and find out how it feels to be based on a Twitter feed, working with the TV icon and about tonight's episode with guest star Cybill Shepherd, who we're told may or may not end up at a motel with a certain $#*!-talking Dad. "$#*! My Dad Says" airs at Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
