Unbeknownst to them, the teens are on a collision course with Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer. Simultaneously, police detectives David Reichert & Ivy Emerson zero in on the most likely suspect, whom they later conclude is the wrong guy. Desperate for leads, Reichert consults convicted serial killer Ted Bundy, who offers insights into "GRK" - claiming he may even know the identity of the Green River Killer. Meanwhile, a desperate Helen decides to turn to prostitution to escape her terrible home life. At the end of Night One, Helen rides off with Gary Ridgway.
