FOX BROADCASTING COMPANY ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS AND A NEW APPOINTMENT IN COMEDY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

SUZANNA MAKKOS UPPED TO VICE PRESIDENT, MARCUS WILEY REJOINS NETWORK AS VICE PRESIDENT, DAVID SLEVEN PROMOTED TO MANAGER

Suzanna Makkos has been promoted to Vice President, Comedy Development for the Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX); Marcus Wiley has rejoined as Vice President, Comedy Development; and David Sleven has been promoted to Manager in the department, it was announced by Susan Levison, Senior Vice President, Comedy Development, to whom they will report.

"Suzanna Makkos is one of the bright lights at the network," said Ms. Levison. "In her seven years at FOX, she has helped shepherd some of our most successful shows. Writers and producers love working with her, and this promotion recognizes the high regard in which she's held." Ms. Levison went on to add, "We're thrilled that Marcus has rejoined the network. He brings a tremendous level of knowledge and enthusiasm to everything he does, and he'll be a huge asset to the department." Finally, Ms. Levison said of Mr. Sleven, "David is a rising star. He's demonstrated the tremendous analytical skills and the tenacity to take a project from page to stage. I see a bright future for him."

Ms Makkos has served as Director, Comedy Development since mid-2006 and developed the current FOX comedy, BACK TO YOU. Previously, she was Manager, Current Programming (2003-2006), covering comedies such as FAMILY GUY, "Arrested Development," "The Bernie Mac Show," and "Malcolm in the Middle," as well as dramas PRISON BREAK and "Boston Public."

After starting her career in development and current programming at Walt Disney Television/Touchstone Television and Regency Television, she accepted her first position at FOX in the network's Comedy Development Department in 2001. Ms. Makkos graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor's degree in American History.

Mr. Wiley returns to FOX from the William Morris Agency, where he was an agent in the television packaging and literary divisions representing such clients as Marc Willmore, Jim Vallely, Victor Nelli, Barnow & Firek, Jon Collier, Eric Kaplan, Linda Mendoza, Federman and Scaia and Melinda Hsu. Previously, he served as a creative executive for Regency Television, where he was a liaison between that boutique studio and the network television community. While there, he developed series for all six (at the time) broadcast networks, and covered production for the studio's shows, including "Malcolm in the Middle" and "The Bernie Mac Show."

Mr. Wiley originally joined FOX in 2000, spending two years as an assistant in the programming and development department. He graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a bachelor's degree in Economics/Law and Society.

David Sleven joined FOX in December 2006 as a coordinator in the comedy department after serving 2 years as assistant to the head of comedy development at sister studio 20th Century Fox Television. Previously he was an assistant at Broder, Webb, Chervin and Silbermann (now ICM). Mr. Sleven is a 2002 graduate of Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY.
