USA NETWORK CHARACTER OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH 2008: JAMES MCAVOY

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. (March 14, 2008) - Move over America's sweethearts, this is the year of the international star. Stars from across the Atlantic are shining bright as they swept all four categories at this year's Academy Awards and there are surely more to come. Scotland is just one example that has long been home to many household names like veteran actor and Academy Award winner Sean Connery and Golden Globe nominee Ewan McGregor. And the newest Scot to cross the ocean is James McAvoy.

Most recently seen in "Atonement" with Keira Knightley, McAvoy was nominated for a BAFTA Film Award, Empire Award and Golden Globe Award in the best actor category. He first received notice when he stared opposite Forest Whitaker in 2006s "The Last King of Scotland."

What's next? McAvoy joins Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie in the upcoming film, "Wanted." This soft-spoken Scotsman is clearly making a lot of noise.

USA Network will feature James McAvoy in 30-second spots throughout the month of March presented by Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Part of the Characters Welcome brand, 'Character of the Month' celebrates well-known people from the world of entertainment. Past 'Character of the Month' honorees include, Daniel Radcliffe, Steve Carrell, The Police, David Beckham, the color green, Bono, Britney Spears, Cupid, and Johnny Depp.
