Samantha Harris Joins the Insider as Correspondent and Substitute Anchor

SAMANTHA HARRIS JOINS THE INSIDER AS CORRESPONDENT AND SUBSTITUTE ANCHOR

Samantha Harris will join CBS Television Distribution's THE INSIDER, as a correspondent and substitute anchor beginning January 5, 2009, it was announced today by Linda Bell Blue, executive producer.

Perhaps best known as co-host of the ABC series, "Dancing With the Stars," Harris previously served as a reporter for E! News and co-hosted the network's live awards show coverage for the Oscars, Golden Globes and Emmys. Harris also anchored THS Investigates, a spin-off series from the producers of The E! True Hollywood Story, as well as a multitude of E! specials.

A native of Hopkins, Minn., Harris graduated with honors from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Ill.

Prior to joining E!, Harris served as the weekend co-host for the nationally syndicated entertainment newsmagazine Extra. Harris's other hosting credits include Fox's The Next Joe Millionaire and AMC Access. Additionally, Harris has served as a guest co-host on ABC's The View.
