Ncis Delivers 19 Million Viewers Against "American Idol," Third Highest Audience Ever and Posts Increases in Key Demos Compared to Last First-Run Broadcast

"NCIS" DELIVERS 19 MILLION VIEWERS AGAINST "AMERICAN IDOL," THIRD HIGHEST AUDIENCE EVER AND POSTS INCREASES IN KEY DEMOS COMPARED TO LAST FIRST-RUN BROADCAST

A Rebroadcast of "The Mentalist" Places First in Viewers Against First-Run Competition

"Without a Trace" Wins Its Time Period in Viewers and Key Demos

NCIS delivered an audience of 19 million viewers against "American Idol," its third best viewer delivery ever and posted gains in key demos compared to its last first-run broadcast, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Tuesday, Jan. 27.

NCIS was second in households (11.6/17), viewers (19.04m), adults 25-54 (5.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10). This is the third best first-run viewer delivery ever for NCIS. Compared to the last first-run episode (January, 13, 2009), NCIS was up +3% in households (from 11.3/17), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.4/12), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/09) and added +420,000 viewers (from 18.62m, +2%).

A rebroadcast of THE MENTALIST won its time period in households (9.6/14) and viewers (15.13m) against first-run programming on ABC, NBC and FOX, retaining 95% of the first-run delivery.

WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (8.2/14), viewers (12.76m), adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/07).

For the night, CBS was second in households (9.8/15), viewers (15.65m), adults 25-54 (4.5/10) and averaged a 3.2/08 in adults 18-49.
