24 (FOX) - Clayne Crawford ("Smokin' Aces: Blowback") is the latest addition to the show's eighth season. He'll play "a bad boy from Dana Walsh's (Katee Sackhoff) past," a role which is billed as recurring. No other specifics about his role were released.

GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Entertainment Weekly reports T.R. Knight is indeed departing the series. The news spells the end of yearlong speculation and rumor the actor wanted to be released from his contract. Co-star Katherine Heigl has likewise been the subject of similar stories due to her burgeoning feature career. Her status is expected to be finalized later this week. Meanwhile in other "Grey's" news, Jessica Capshaw has reportedly been upped to series regular. The actress joined the series back in February as a love interest for Sara Ramirez's character.

HEROES (NBC) - Rick Worthy ("Battlestar Galactica") is in talks for a multi-episode arc on the series. He's understood to be set as Matt Parkman's (Greg Grunberg) new partner, "an experienced and capable Los Angeles cop and someone that Matt can lean on for advice." The actor would join such newcomers as Robert Knepper and Madelina Zima on the fourth season, due this fall.

ONE TREE HILL (The CW) - Shantel VanSanten ("The Final Destination") has joined the cast of the veteran series. She'll play the sister of Bethany Joy Galeotti's character, one of several new additions to the series. The news comes on the heels of Robert Buckley singing on last week.

SMALLVILLE (The CW) - Brian Austin Green has signed on for a two-episode arc on the show's upcoming ninth season, according to a TV Guide report. He'll play "Daily Planet" journalist John Corben, better known in the comics as Kryptonite-powered villain Metallo. Producers are also said to be casting for Superman archnemesis General Zod.

THE TUDORS (Showtime) - David O'Hara ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows") has booked a role on the show's fourth and final season. He's on board as the Earl of Surrey, "the son and heir of the Duke of Norfolk... the arrogant but sensitive scion of an ancient family." Production is underway on the show's final episodes for an early 2010 launch.

WEDLOCK OR DEADLOCK (Syndication, New!) - Twentieth Television is set to launch a six-week test run of a potential spin-off of "Divorce Court." The half-hour series, which launches July 20 on the Fox owned-and-operated stations in New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Tampa, Phoenix, Orlando and Memphis, follows psychologist/relationship expert Dr. Michelle Callahan as she counsels engaged couples with concerns about their relationship, ultimately deciding whether they should get hitched or not by returning or tearing up their marriage license. Dave Brown is executive producing the series. The news marks the second test run being carried by the aforementioned stations this summer, the first being Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution's "Beyond Twisted."
