CBS HATCHES FIRST OF ITS KIND "EGG-VERTISING" CAMPAIGN FOR NEW FALL SHOWS

Network to Be the Exclusive Provider of Primetime Slogans on 35 Million Laser Coded Eggs Marked by EggFusion

CBS to Underwrite Service for Consumers that Includes Expiration Dates on Eggs

In a first of its advertising kind, the CBS Marketing Group has hatched an exclusive partnership with EggFusion to promote its shows this fall by inscribing Network logos and slogans on laser coded eggs. Beginning this September, CBS will be the inaugural major corporation to advertise on over 35 million eggs marked by EggFusion, a company which specializes in delivering freshness and traceability coding to consumers by placing laser coded expiration dates on eggs sold by grocers.

In partnership with EggFusion, CBS will underwrite the USDA accepted solution for applying permanent, tamperproof Freshness and Traceability Codes on eggs. Freshness and Traceability Coding enables a consumer to feel more confident in the freshness of the eggs they are purchasing.

"We're egg-cited about this egg-clusive opportunity," quipped George Schweitzer, President of the CBS Marketing Group. "We're always looking for distinct advertising opportunities that will make our programming stand out to potential viewers in unique places. We recognize that viewers have busy lives and with "egg-vertising" we have found a great way to reach them out of their homes and in their daily lives, but in a way that also brings the message back into their homeand literally onto the kitchen table."

"For five years, EggFusion has worked tirelessly to create the technology needed to enable every egg in America to be marked with freshness and traceability coding," said Bradley Parker, Founder & Chairman, EggFusion. "The tamperproof code empowers consumers with information they can use immediately to feel more confident in the freshness of the eggs they buy. Research and consumer reaction has confirmed that once a person sees the code and visits MyFreshEgg.com to learn about the egg's history, they recognize the value of the service we provide. EggFusion is thrilled to have CBS as the charter sponsor supporting freshness and traceability coding."

The following series logos and slogans will be featured on over 35 million EggFusion eggs:

CBS Mondays Funny Side Up

CBS Mondays Leave the Yolks to Us

CBS Mondays Shelling Out Laughs

CBS Mondays Make 'em Go Over Easy

CSI: Crack the Case on CBS

THE AMAZING RACE Scramble to Win on CBS

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER Find Your Chick on CBS

THE CLASS New Grade-A CBS Comedy

SMITH Professional Poachers

SHARK Hard-Boiled Drama

JERICHO Unbeatable Television

In addition to the slogans above, eggs will also feature series logos along with tune-in information.

With the announcement of the EggFusion partnership, CBS further extends its Outernet strategy -- the Network's catch phrase for its current marketing campaign to reach viewers outside their homes as they go about their daily lives. Additional CBS Outernet initiatives include partnerships with American Airlines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships, SignStorey Inc. and Aquacell Water Coolers, among others.
