Nickelodeon's Icarly Scores Basic Cable's Number-One Entertainment Telecast for Week

NICKELODEON'S ICARLY SCORES BASIC CABLE'S NUMBER-ONE ENTERTAINMENT TELECAST FOR WEEK, WITH 4.4 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS

iCarly, Victorious and Big Time Rush Rank As Week's Top Three Shows with Kids 6-11 on All TV

NEW YORK-May 11, 2010- Nickelodeon notched another weekly ratings win as basic cable's number-one total day network, driven by another top-ranking iCarly (Saturday, May 8, 8 p.m. ET/PT). iCarly took basic cable's top entertainment spot among total viewers for a second straight week (5/3/10-5/9/10). iCarly drew 4.4 million total viewers with the new episode "iBelieve in Bigfoot". The episode averaged 8.6/2.0 million kids 6-11, 7.0/1.5 million tweens 9-14 and 7.0/2.5 million kids 2-11. Year to date, iCarly ranks at the number-one live-action series with kids 2-11.

The net also drew the week's top three telecasts with kids 6-11, with iCarly taking the top spot, followed by Victorious and Big Time Rush. The net was also home to the top five telecasts on all TV with kids 2-11 (#1 iCarly, #2 SpongeBob SquarePants, #3 Big Time Rush, #4 Victorious, #5 The Penguins of Madagascar). For the week, Nickelodeon averaged 2.1 million persons 2+, a 3.3/1.2 million K2-11, 2.7/580,000 K6-11 and 2.0/432,000 T9-14.

A new episode of Big Time Rush, "Big Time Terror" (8:30 p.m.), won its time period on basic cable with total viewers (4.0 million), averaging 8.2/1.8 million kids 6-11, 6.4/1.4 million tweens 9-14 and 6.6/2.4 million kids 2-11. Victorious had another stellar night, securing basic cable's top spot in its time period (9 p.m. ET/PT) with total viewers (4.1 million). The episode, "Tori the Zombie" (May 8), averaged 8.4/1.8 million kids 6-11, 6.9/1.5 million tweens 9-14 and 6.5/1.5 million kids 2-11.

Nick's weekly ratings performance also was highlighted by animated hits SpongeBob SquarePants and The Penguins of Madagascar, which were the top two animated series, respectively, for the week on broadcast and basic cable with kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14. SpongeBob SquarePants and The Penguins of Madagascar were also basic cable's top two animated series with total viewers for the week.
